What's the difference?
Laminating means applying a transparent film to the printed material. It protects the print and defines the surface – gloss for brilliant colours, matt for an elegant, glare-free look.
Mounting means bonding two or more materials together across their full surface – for example a print with a rigid backing or an adhesive layer. The result is a product that can do more than a single material.
Your benefits
- Durable: protection against moisture, dirt and wear.
- Premium look: matt or gloss effect as required.
- Stable: mounted products are stiffer and keep their shape better.
- New functions: non-slip, self-adhesive or cushioned – depending on the backing material.
