UV offset printing

Razor-sharp images on materials where conventional offset printing fails – above all plastic films. The ink cures under UV light in a fraction of a second and is immediately ready for finishing.

Instant – by UV light

In offset printing, the image is transferred from the printing plate to a rubber blanket and from there onto the material. This indirect principle ensures particularly fine screens, clean lines and even areas of colour.

In conventional offset, the ink has to be absorbed into the paper and dry. That doesn't work on films – they don't absorb ink. UV inks solve the problem: they are cured with UV light directly after printing and immediately form a solid, adhesive layer on the surface.

  1. 1Printing plateThe image is exposed onto one plate per colour.
  2. 2Rubber blanketThe ink is transferred to the material via the rubber blanket.
  3. 3UV curingUV lamps cure the ink instantly – ready for die-cutting, laminating or further finishing.
  • Sticks to film: reliable adhesion on non-absorbent surfaces such as plastic films.
  • Ready for immediate finishing: no drying time, no waiting – straight to the die-cutter or laminator.
  • Finest detail: sharp type, fine screens and brilliant colours.
  • Robust: cured UV ink is scratch- and abrasion-resistant.
  • Cost-effective: low unit costs for medium and long runs.
  • True to colour: process colours and spot colours to HKS or Pantone.
